BEHIND THE LENS

Hernan Cazares was born and raised in the eclectic border city of Tijuana, Mexico.

In 2011, he earned his MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles, where he developed a deep appreciation for cinematic storytelling and visual composition.

After graduate school, Hernan built a career as a portrait and travel photographer, as well as a commercial videographer — creating imagery defined by emotional depth and refined lighting.

Today, through Cinedog Studio, he brings that same cinematic sensibility to dog portraiture, crafting still and motion pieces that are timeless, artful, and deeply personal.
